Hi All,

My husband's cousin lives in Portland, Maine where Irene was supposed to do much damage according to reports. As of 9:00 p.m. this evening, they had high winds all day and rain, but no damage. Shops, stores, and restaurants remained open all day, tourists were walking along the beaches watching the huge waves crashing ashore, and everyone still had power. Winds hit 50 mph at times, but nothing like some other places got. It looks like it moved inland at some point and those states like upper New York, Vermont, and Connecticut got hit really bad. Those poor people, they will need prayers and much help when all is done.
