embossing nesties your way!

embossing nesties your way!

Sue -- I tried your way of embossing nestie die with the embossing tool. Mine doesn't roll, but it works great! It really makes the embossing much more deeper! Who knew?

I'm glad you are back up, now I have to get used to using your site!

Glad it worked, Donna. If you ever have trouble with the tool, rub wax paper on the back of your paper and it will help the tool glide along better.

Probably a dumb question, but do you emboss image side up or image side down?

Depends on what you want. Image side up would be a pushed in or debossed frame. Image side down would make the frame or design pushed out. Does that help? Both are fine and I have done both.

It is easy.
Once the shape is cut, leave it inside the die and lay it on the table, face down. Use the rolling ball burnisher and run that around the inside edge of the die keeping the tool as close to the metal edge as possible. It works really well on simple shapes and eliminates the need for the tan mat.
