Card Posted Thumbnail Description
#3124 06/20/08 Card #3124 Open the folder and cut slowly, following the dot pattern. If you have one with a random pattern, draw a line with a fine point sharpie on the entire folder, and carefully cut
#3123 06/20/08 Card #3123 I then cut the second half of the cut folder in half again.
#2845 02/09/08 Card #2845 This is the tutorial for the folded card embossing. Cut the card at 4.25" x 11". Fold in half.
#2844 02/09/08 Card #2844 Place the small embossing folder where you want it embossed. Run it thru the Cuttlebug. In order to avoid the crease mark from the top edge of the folder, when you feel the roller getting close to the edge of the folder, back the roller off and reverse the roller so it comes back out the way it went in. If that does not work, add a layer of thin paper underneath the cardstock and that may eliminate the crease.
#2843 02/09/08 Card #2843 Score the lines you wish on the Scor-Pal.
#2842 02/09/08 Card #2842 Here is the front view of the first 2 steps.
#2841 02/09/08 Card #2841 Next, position the cuttlebug folder on the front of the folded card so that it aligns to your bottom design and the top folded edge. Sometimes your design will flow over to the back of the card, but if you measure just right, you can come right up to the folded edge with the side edge of the embossing folder nicely.
#2840 02/09/08 Card #2840 Another view of placement.
#2839 02/09/08 Card #2839 Run the prepared folder and card thru the Cuttlebug and this is the finished view of the embossing.

The dots (in this case) will show thru to the inside front of the card, but it looks kinda cool. If you do not like that, just cover the inside of the front of the card with another layer of cardstock or paper.
#2838 02/09/08 Card #2838 Finished View:

Cuttlebug Embossing on SINGLE LAYER of cardstock. Once finished, glue this to a folded card either with a matte layer underneath, or without. Some trimming may be needed.

Step by step follows.

Card # 2832 is a finished example.

#2837 02/09/08 Card #2837 This is a SINGLE layer sheet for embossing. Position the folder on the top half of the cardstock and run it thru the Cuttlebug.
#2836 02/09/08 Card #2836 Position the folder on the bottom portion of the single layer of cardstock and run it thru the Cuttlebug. I only roll it far enough to emboss the folder and not all the way so that it rolls over the previous embossing.
