Okay, here is a way to eliminate the crease lines from the embossing folders. This will work for ANY size folder.
You need a red sheet of rubber from Lowes called Rubber Packing Sheet. It measures 6" x 6" x 1/8" and costs 1.37 each. I am sure Home Depot has it too. It needs to be 1/8" thick. It is in the plumbing dept. You can also use 1/16" rubber sheet and the C PLATE, if you can*t find the 1/8".
1. Cut the rubber sheet slightly shorter and slightly less wide than the folder. The cut rubber sheet will redistribute the pressure to the middle of the folder where the design is, and take it away from the edges where the crease lines are created using just the folder in the cuttlebug.
2. Stick that cut piece of rubber to the folder with glue dots or double stick tape

3. Because the 1/8" red rubber piece REPLACES the 2nd B Plate in the embossing process, (due to the width restrictions when rolling the plate through the machine), you will assemble the plates as follows:
A Plate
Embossing folder with red rubber attached and paper inside
B plate (only one)
Run it through the Cuttlebug and voila!
No crease!

Shim the plate recipe with one layer of cardstock if the impression is not deep enough for you.
Cut one red sheet for each size of embossing folder and just change them up with each folder.
This original idea of the "plate" revision came from StampinJay on Gingerwood. She used craft sticks. I then tried cutting a spare B Plate and that worked well, but Mrs C. on GW came up with the idea of the 1/8" thick red rubber. It works better and is do-able for everyone. |

Open the folder and cut slowly, following the dot pattern. If you have one with a random pattern, draw a line with a fine point sharpie on the entire folder, and carefully cut

I then cut the second half of the cut folder in half again. |

This is the tutorial for the folded card embossing. Cut the card at 4.25" x 11". Fold in half. |

Place the small embossing folder where you want it embossed. Run it thru the Cuttlebug. In order to avoid the crease mark from the top edge of the folder, when you feel the roller getting close to the edge of the folder, back the roller off and reverse the roller so it comes back out the way it went in. If that does not work, add a layer of thin paper underneath the cardstock and that may eliminate the crease. |

Next, position the cuttlebug folder on the front of the folded card so that it aligns to your bottom design and the top folded edge. Sometimes your design will flow over to the back of the card, but if you measure just right, you can come right up to the folded edge with the side edge of the embossing folder nicely. |
