This may look familiar to some. I have recycled some of my old card fronts to make new covers for various Rollabind Projects. Check and see what you can re-use.
The filler paper is the remainder of a cut from 4"x6" index cards. I used an A2 size cut of the index cards for a "Notes" Book refill, and had this left over. The front of an old card fit perfectly. Cute little note book.
Stamps are from JP Whimsey |

I know this is a silly little nothing book, but I wanted to post this because I thought the idea was cute and fast and cheap for a make it take it or a small secret sister thing or something.
I cut 3"x5" index cards in half so they measured 2.5"x3". Punch 2 rollabind holes at the top (or you could punch 3 along the side) and make a cover from scrap paper glued to a chipboard cover. All of the paper I used was from the scrap box and the punched flowers were from the seashell scrap paper from previous journals. I punched the daisies using the portion of the scrap with the dot texture to help the daisies stand out on the cover. I decided on 2 holes at the top because if you are doing a make it take it or a party of some sort, those little discs can add up quickly.
FAST and EASY and INEXPENSIVE. |

This is a 6"x6" journal I made for
my church auction. It uses the prepunched cover from Rollabind.
VERY convenient for fast work.
Flower and Dot paper is from
Kangaroo & Joey
Yellow stripe paper is from
Making Memories
3D flower is from Paper Bliss.
This time I wrapped the cover with the paper instead of cutting it flush to the edges. I "wrapped" the paper like the cover of a real book and glued contrasting paper to the inside of the front cover. Same for the back inside and outside covers. I printed magenta journal pages to match the magenta square on the front.
