Coaster Post it Note Holder
2 paper covered coasters. When accommodating the thickness of the post it pad inside, make sure you allow for the ribbon ties to be loose enough so it shuts without the front cover popping opened.
The Chipboard "N" and the chipboard flower are from Pizzazzill Creative Imaginations Blank Chipboard Numbers and Letters
"NOTES" word stamp is from Karen Foster Snap Stamps
The coaster book stays closed with a pink hair band.

This is the inside view. I thought a calendar inside would be useful. (Besides, I have a lot of them to use up!)

This is a top view of the front cover showing that I raised the chipboard "N" with two layers of double stick tape, along the outside edges of the shape to allow room for the hair tie to move about when opening and closing it. |

When opened for use, the hair tie rests on the chipboard letter until it is time to close it up. Make sure everything is glued well in place for use with the hair tie closure so nothing falls off.
The original idea for the post it cover came from stampinselena on SCS.

Picture Frame using 3 heavy coasters covered with SB paper and then sanded. Tied together with ribbon. I made the holes with the Crop-a-dile.
The coasters come from www.americancoaster.com
The letters are made using a lightweight coaster covered with SB paper and die cut with Cuttlebug Alphabets and the heart shape. |

3 pc Kitchen Set made with coasters and SB paper.
The item on the left is a calendar magnet. The middle piece is a box for recipes or notes or pencils, or all three!
The item on the right is a coaster recipe card holder. The small clip at the top is from Making Memmories and the plastic charms are actually button charms with the shanks cut off the back. |

This is a view of the back of the recipe card holder. I also added a magnet to show that it can be used on the refrigerator and the counter with the easel back.
I made the easel back using the light weight coasters so I could score and fold it. |

This is a pencil box made with 4" white coasters. I saw the original idea on SCS and of course, had to do some.
I used 5 coasters, covered with paper, using the Xyron, and punched the holes with the Crop-a-dile. Tie them together with ribbon to assemble. A coaster is glued in the bottom of the box to finish it off.
The chipboard letters are from Cuttlebug-Hippie Chick alphabets.

Inside view.
I cut down another coaster to make dividers. I applied white craft glue to the sides and bottom to secure them in place.
A happy accident occured when I punched too may coasters with too many holes, and instead of recovering another one with more paper for the bottom which has NO holes, I just used the punched one to make the dividers and tied ribbon in the holes, like on the sides.
This takes a bit of figuring out to make it work, but once the first one was done, the rest will be easy. I have seen some with candy in them, and what is better than CANDY!

I got lazy and put some post it notes on one of the sides instead of trying to come up with another decoration. The very back is plain and the other side is in the next photo. |
