I partially embossed the snowflake border by laying 1" strips of 1/8" red rubber gasket around the edges of the folder. That gasket redistributes the pressure of the design onto those strips and just embosses the areas that it touches, thus the framed area.

A2 Card

This is a blatant copy of a card made by Sharon Johnston. Her work is just gorgeous. It took me a while to figure out how she did the bow, but I think I got it.

• The bird call piece of paper and the scored piece of paper are separate from each other. Emboss the bird call and cut the paper down to the size desired. You can see my splice line under the ribbon. I will have to fix that!

Scor-Pal

To make the ribbon treatment, take a length of ribbon and glue it down to the card where you want it. Bring it around the back of the card, run it thru the hole in the tags and tie a single knot. Secure into place with a glue dot.

• I wanted to make a longer skinnier vertical hole, so I drew a light pencil line on the card, and I used the smallest die in the set, cut the shape and moved the die to the right, aligned it with the first hole, and cut a second and third  time to elongate the shape. This way, you can make the slot as long as you want....
