This is a close up of the shading that has been blended. Small amounts of pink have also been added to the ear and the nose. Color has been picked up on a tortillon with the pink pencil to rub onto the cheeks. This will keep a darker amount of color from being applied to the face so that the cheek color is not overwhelming. Dab the blending tool into the Gamsol, as needed, to keep the colors flowing nicely. When blending the shading colors, do not over blend. Continue to dab the color lightly with the blending tool or your finger, so you can still see where the shading has been applied.

You do not have to always use stumps or tortillons to blend. Q-tips work very well for larger areas and are less expensive than large quantities of blending stumps and tortillons.
