Gift Card Holder- This is a copy of a GCH I saw on Splitcoast by Sleepy in Seattle. CUTE idea!
Cut red paper 5 ½ x 8 ½”. Score at 2 1/8” and 6 3/8”. Fold both halves towards the center. Emboss the 2 front halves with the folder of your choice. I used Sizzix 656586 Winter Set #3. Punch a 5 1/8” long strip of white cardstock using Martha Stewart Deep Edge Linked Trim Border Punch. Glue that to the red card front only on the left side so it overhangs to the middle of the card when closed.
To make the body area, cut a piece of peach or flesh paper 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”. Glue to the back of the inside of the card. To make the underwear for the inside, cut a piece of paper 4 1/8” x 2 ¾” for the bottom portion of the underwear and 4 1/8” X 5/8” for the waistband. Cut a thin strip of white paper 2 ¾” x 3/8” for the center section. Using a 2” circle punch, position the punch to create 2 leg holes. Assemble all of the cut white parts together to create underwear. Add stitching lines. Glue the underwear to the peach layer.
Cut a strip of black cardstock 1 ¼” x 11” for the belt. Score at 2 ¾” and 7 1/8”. To make the buckle, punch a 7/8” square into a scrap of gold foil cardstock. Then use a 1 3/8” scallop square punch (blue marvy punch) on top of the 7/8” punch, centering the smaller one to the larger one. Wrap the black belt around the card and glue closed, making sure it is loose enough to remove easily. Add the gold buckle.
