The clip art image and the calendar are attached on the outside. Usually putting the image on the outside creates dimension and also allows you to extend the image beyond the restriction of the frame size. Makes small frames look bigger. The background paper and any decoration or matte framing (for the calendars and post it notes) are slipped inside the frame.
