To Make a 2 1/4" square box, cut the top at 4 1/4" square and the bottom at 4 1/8" square. Score all 4 sides at 1". Cut slits on the score lines on 2 sides only to the 1” mark on both the lid and the bottom. Fold up all the score lines and tuck the cut piece inside the box and secure with glue or tape. If you increase or reduce the size of the box, the lid must be 1/8” larger than the bottom if you are using heavier paper.
